DMD Shelving’s Safety Assessment methodology is split into several stages of work, some of which are optional:

Option 1 (Free Consultation)

DMD will a conduct free 30-60 minute visual inspection checking off 32 areas such as:

• Rack Safety in your workplace
• Safe Load working signs
• Space maximization

• Improving productivity & efficiency
• Obstructions and emergency exits

Option 2 (detailed drawings and recommendations)

We survey your overall rack layout from ground level, prepare drawings and conduct our Safety Assessment.

Option 3

We conduct Safety Assessments with your nominated Racking and Shelving Safety Officer. In this Stage we show you how to inspect and analyze Rack Damage. We also provide you with a Rack Operation and Maintenance Manual. We provide all the information required for your nominated Racking and Shelving Safety Officer to use in their formal written report to be submitted to management.

Option 4

We perform a High Level inspection including using a scissor-lift for the day to survey your racking systems. We recommend that you perform this inspection annually.

Option 5

We prepare a quotation to repair your racks and fit Recommended Load Signs. Please Note: Only Racks that are in good condition can be given a load rating.

Option 6

Your nominated Racking and Shelving Safety Officer should perform Rack Assessments on a regular basis. We will advise you the frequency for this work. Contact us for a quotation on any racks to be repaired.

Option 7

We perform Rack Assessments with your nominated Racking and Shelving Safety Officer, and can provide you with an on-going “Third Party” Assessment service. The frequency would be based on our initial findings and agreed with you, but would likely occur on a semi-annual basis. We will provide a quotation for repair of racks.
